Offering Cryosurgery for your pet
What is cryosurgery?
Cryosurgery is the application of extreme cold to destroy abnormal or diseased tissue. This procedure is frequently used to treat warts, skin tags, cysts, eyelid tumors, lick granulomas, papillomas, and especially for small tumors in difficult-to-operate areas. Cold-based treatment is a safe alternative to the surgical removal for benign tumors and skin conditions. Compared to traditional surgery, cryosurgery is a minimally invasive treatment, usually has less pain and bleeding and a lower risk of damaging healthy tissue near the abnormal cells. Cryosurgery uses liquid nitrogen at -127 degrees Fahrenheit to freeze and kill unwanted tissue.
Please give us a call to make an appointment with our doctor to see if your pet is a candidate for this treatment.
Eastside Pet Clinic now offers Senior Panels for cats and dogs. Please call our office for more information.
